Free QR code generatorPayment codes

A Zelle QR code any phone camera can scan.

Enter the email or mobile number you use with Zelle. The code opens a simple page with your details to copy, and the amount if you set one.

What should it open?

How do you want to be paid?

The email or number you enrolled with Zelle at your bank.

Shown to the payer so they can check it matches what their bank shows.

Zelle has no payment link of its own: money is sent from inside the payer's banking app. So this code opens a simple page with your name and Zelle details to copy. Your email or number is visible to anyone who scans it.

How much of the code can be damaged or covered and still scan. Higher levels make the pattern denser. Automatic picks the lowest level that is safe for your design.

Zelle works differently

Cash App, Venmo and PayPal each have a public pay link. Zelle does not: money is sent from inside the payer's own banking app. So a code cannot open a Zelle payment.

What this code opens is a page that says who to pay: your name, your Zelle email or number with a copy button, and the amount and note if you added them.

What the payer does

  • Scans the code with their phone camera
  • Checks the name on the page is yours
  • Copies your Zelle email or number
  • Opens their banking app and sends the payment with Zelle

What is visible

Your Zelle email or number is shown to anyone who scans the code, so use the one you are happy to have on a sign.

Those details travel in the code's own address. Making a code here does not create an account or a record of them with us.

Your bank's own Zelle code

Your banking app may offer a Zelle QR code of its own, scanned from the Zelle screen of another banking app. If your customers already use that, keep using it. This one is for a sign, a receipt or an invoice, where people will point an ordinary camera at it.

Before you print

Scan it and check the name and the email or number, character by character. Enter the name the way your bank shows it, because that is what the payer will compare it with before they send.

Questions people ask

Is the Zelle QR code free?

Yes. Making and downloading it costs nothing and needs no account. We take no fee on anything you are paid.

Why does it open a page and not my bank?

Zelle has no public payment link. Money is sent from inside the payer's banking app, so the most a code can do is show who to pay and make your details easy to copy.

Will the code expire?

It is not tied to an account, a trial or a number of scans, so there is nothing to lapse. The code holds an address on utilica.app that carries your details, and it works for as long as that page is online.

Do you see or handle the money?

No. The payment is made in the payer's banking app and goes straight to your bank account.

Is there a limit on how much I can be sent?

Not from us. Limits on Zelle payments are set by the payer's bank.

Is this an official Zelle product?

No. Utilica is not affiliated with Zelle or Early Warning Services, LLC.
