We do not store the IP address of the person scanning and we set no cookies on their device. Unique visitors are counted with a hash that changes every day, so nobody can be followed from one day to the next.

Link previews in messaging apps and email security scanners open links automatically. We filter known bots out of the headline numbers so a shared link does not look like a crowd.
