Which Venmo fee applies
It depends on the kind of profile and how the sender pays. Venmo's own fee page lists:
- Goods and services on a personal profile: 2.99%
- Payments to a business profile: 1.9% + $0.10
- Tap to Pay on a business profile: 2.29% + $0.09
- Sending from a balance, debit card or bank: free
- Sending with a credit card: 3%, paid by the sender

Personal or business profile
On a personal profile, a payment the sender marks as goods and services costs the receiver 2.99%. A business profile pays 1.9% + $0.10 on every payment it receives, which is less on any payment over about $9.
Venmo has its own rules about which profile to use for selling, so check them for the way you work.

Covering the fee
Use “I want to get” in the calculator to see what to charge so that, after Venmo's fee, the amount you wanted is what lands.
Getting paid for orders
If customers pay you through a Utilica page, their app opens with the exact amount filled in. We add nothing on top of what the app charges, on any plan.
Cash App, PayPal and Zelle can sit beside Venmo on the same page, so customers pay in whichever app they already have.
