The code above is static
Your address is in the pattern itself. Scanning it never touches our servers, so there is nothing for us to stop, count or charge for. It works for as long as your own page does.

UtilicaFree QR code generator
Type an address and download your code. No account, no watermark, no scan limit.
Everything here is free, your own logo included. Styling never changes where a code goes.
Tell people what they get: “Scan for menu”, “Join our Wi-Fi”.
How much of the code can be damaged or covered and still scan. Higher levels make the pattern denser. Automatic picks the lowest level that is safe for your design.
The catch elsewhere
Many free generators hand you a dynamic code. It does not hold your address. It holds a short address on the generator's own server, and that server decides where every scan goes. That is useful, because you can change the destination later. It also means the company can switch your code off.
Some do. The code works while the trial runs, so you print the menus, the flyers and the stickers. Then the trial ends, every scan lands on a page asking for payment, and the only way to get your own print run back is to subscribe.
The code works for a couple of weeks. Long enough to print it, not long enough to notice.
The code works until it has been scanned a set number of times. The busier you are, the sooner it stops.
The code works while you keep paying. Cancel, or miss a payment, and everything you printed goes dark.
QR Code Generator's help center says dynamic codes made in its 14-day trial are “deactivated at the end of the free trial”, and that people who scan one are taken to a service page.

QR TIGER's help center says each dynamic code on its free plan has a 500 scan limit, and stops working once that is reached.

What we do instead
Your address is in the pattern itself. Scanning it never touches our servers, so there is nothing for us to stop, count or charge for. It works for as long as your own page does.
That takes a dynamic code, which does pass through us. A free account includes 3, and they do not expire either: not after a trial, not after a number of scans, not if you leave Pro.
Scan it and read the address that opens first. If it is your own, the code is static. If it is a short address on someone else's domain, it is dynamic and depends on them.

Yes. Making a code here costs nothing and needs no account. There is no trial, no watermark, and no limit on how many you make.
No. A code made here is static: your address is in the pattern itself, and scanning it never contacts us. Nobody can switch it off, including us. It only stops if the page it points to goes away.
No. Scans of a static code do not pass through us, so there is nothing to count and nothing to cap.
Not with a static code: the address is fixed in the pattern, so a new address means a new code. If you need to change it after printing, make a dynamic code with a free account. The free plan includes 3, and they never expire.
No. The code is drawn in your browser and what you type stays there. It only reaches us if you choose to save your codes to an account.
Yes. Print it on menus, packaging, signs and adverts. It is yours, with no watermark and no credit to us.
As a rule of thumb, at least a tenth as wide as the distance it is scanned from, and no smaller than about 2 cm across. Download the SVG for a print shop, or a PNG of 2048 pixels or more.
To keep your codes in one place and download them again on any device, and to get codes you can re-point after printing, with scan counts. It is free, and you can skip it.
It takes about a minute, and it will still work when the menus have gone to print.
