What to put on a barber booking page so clients book and pay up front

Services with prices, your real hours, a deposit and reminders. What a barber's booking page needs, and how to set one up from your phone.

Utilica2 min read

Clients book wherever it's easiest: a DM, a text, a call between cuts. A booking page in your bio does it for you: they pick the service and the time, pay a deposit, and the slot is booked and paid.

What to put on it

  • Every service with a price and a length. Haircut, skin fade, beard trim, kids' cut. The length is what keeps your calendar honest.
  • Your real hours. Only the times you actually take clients, with breaks.
  • A deposit, so the time is held for someone who's committed. A flat amount or part of the price both work.
  • Your photos. Fresh cuts sell the next one.
  • Where you are, and how to find the chair.
  • What happens if they need to change, in a line.

Here's what a barber page looks like on Utilica.

How deposits work

The client picks a time and pays the deposit straight away, in the payment app they already use or by card if you take cards. If the deposit doesn't come in, the time opens up again by itself. The rest can be paid at the chair or sent as its own link after the cut. More on deposits, and how to ask for one without it feeling awkward.

Reminders

The day before, the client gets a reminder with the time, the address and a way to cancel, so a time they can't make goes back on your page for someone else.

If you work with other barbers

Each barber can have their own profile and calendar, so clients book the person they want.

Getting clients to use it

  1. Put the link in your Instagram and TikTok bio.
  2. Reply to "you got anything Saturday?" with the link.
  3. Print a QR code for the mirror or the front desk.
  4. After each cut, send the link for the next one.
